Moore, Beatty Dismissed From GW Men's Basketball Program

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington University junior Cheyenne Moore (Baltimore, MD) and freshman Miles Beatty (Guttenberg, NJ) have been dismissed from the men's basketball program, GW coach Karl Hobbs announced Wednesday.
"Certain expectations are placed on our players both on and off the court," Hobbs said. "They did not meet those expectations. Both Cheyenne and Miles were given every opportunity to succeed here at GW. I wish them both the very best in the future."
Moore, who transferred from Clemson prior to the 2006-07 season, appeared in 39 games for the Colonials during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons and averaged 5.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
Beatty appeared in 14 games as a freshman guard during the 2007-08 season and averaged 4.8 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
