Thursday's Game: Winners of three of its last four and coming off a narrow loss at No. 9/11 Xavier, GW (9-15, 5-9) faces Charlotte (16-12, 7-7) for the first time this season and the 17th meeting in the series.

A Closer Look at Charlotte... Charlotte enters play Thursday with a 16-12 overall record, 7-7 in the A-10. Charlotte has two players averaging double figure points led by senior guard Leemire Goldwire's 18.4 ppg and Lamont Mack's 12.6 ppg. Junior transfer Charlie Coley leads the team in rebounding with 6.1 rpg. Goldwire leads the A-10 in steals with 2.07 a game and his 103 three-pointers is just 55 fewer than the entire GW team has made this year. For the season, the 49ers are shooting 40.4 percent from the field and averaging 70.6 points a game but are getting outrebounded by less than a carom a game. Charlotte leads the A-10 in turnover margin at +2.79. Freshman F An'Juan Wilderness (8.3 ppg) won A-10 Rookie of the Week honors back in November.
Next Game: GW returns to Smith center to host UMass Saturday, Mar. 8, in the regular-season finale and first meeting with the Minutemen this season.
