WASHINGTON, DC- Preseason prospectuses for the upcoming 2007-08 George Washington men's and women's basketball seasons are now available online.
2007-08 Men's Basketball Prospectus
The defending A-10 champion men's team, under the direction of seventh-year head coach Karl Hobbs, will have a decidedly new look when GW takes to the court in 2007. The 11 returnees all have NCAA Tournament experience gained from last year's victory in the A-10 Championship Tournament and promise to make 2007-08 an exciting ride for Colonials fans.
2007-08 Women's Basketball Prospectus
The GW women are fresh off one of the finest seasons in program history after tying the school-record with 28 victories in 2006-07. The Colonials and 18-year head coach Joe McKeown returned to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time since 1997 and finished the season ranked No. 11 in the final ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. GW, which boasts four returning starters and 12 returning letterwinners, has received some early season recognition by being ranked No. 13 in Lindy's Sports Annuals and No. 24 in Athlon Sports Preseason Top 25 rankings.
