Today's Game: GW (4-5) aims to snap a four-game road losing streak when it faces Alabama (9-3) in the first-ever meeting between the teams.
• GW has been idle for the last six days following a 63-54 victory over Longwood Dec. 23 in Washington.
• The Colonials are in a stretch where they will play just two games in 27 days.
•Alabama is coming off a 83-68 victory over Iowa State at Las Vegas on Dec. 23 in the championship game of the eight-team Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic. It was the Crimson Tide's fifth straight win.

A Closer Look at Alabama: The Crimson Tide enters play Saturday with a 9-3 record after a 83-68 victory over Iowa State Dec. 23 to win the championship of the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic in Las Vegas. Alabama has three players averaging double figure points, led by Richard Hendrix's 19.6 ppg and 10.1 rebounds per game. Junior F Alonzo Gee (15.3 ppg) and senior F Mykal Riley (14.3 ppg) are the other players averaging double figures in scoring. Riley was voted the MVP of the Las Vegas Classic with Hendrix and Gee joining him on the all-tournament team. The Tide is without the services of senior G Ronald Steele who is redshirting the season following knee surgery. For the season, Alabama is shooting 48.6 percent from the field, averages 77.7 points a game and is outrebounding its opponents by 3.8 caroms a game. Opponents are shooting 43 percent from the floor. Gottfried is in his 10th season at Alabama after spending the previous three seasons (1995-97) at Murray State.
