Andrews Named Head Women's Tennis Coach

WASHINGTON, DC (July 24, 2001) - Helen Andrews has been hired as the head women's tennis coach at The George Washington University, Athletic Director Jack Kvancz announced.
Andrews joins GW after working as the Assistant Tennis Professional at the Columbia Country Club under former GW Head Tennis Coach Joe Mesmer. Andrews was formerly the assistant coach at GW during the 1998-99 season.
Andrews was a member of the Colonials' women's tennis team from 1994-1998, competing in the top singles spot for the majority of her career at GW. Andrews was named the Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Performer for her play in the 1996-97 season.
