Women's Tennis Finishes Second in Atlantic 10 Championship

George Washington wins were earned by Lindy First (San Diego, CA) at third singles (6-3, 7-6) and Sam Fisher (Greenwich, CT) at fifth singles (6-2, 6-0).
The Minutewomen were making just their second-ever appearance in the final, last earning a trip in 1998. UMass got wins from Francesca Mancini (Milan, Italy) at first singles over Tracy Wei (6-2, 6-1), Jafra Depontes (Kaliua-Kona, HI) at second singles over Nazli Gencsoy (7-6, 7-6), and Lindsey Gillooly (Stoughton, MA) at sixth singles over Susie Coggin (6-4, 0-6, 6-4). UMass won their fourth, and deciding point by taking two of the three doubles matches.
