McCullough Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week
WASHINGTON, DC (Oct. 9, 2001) - George Washington freshman Mary Beth McCullough (Brentwood, TN/Father Ryan) has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week, the conference office has announced. It is the first Atlantic 10 honor of McCullough's collegiate career.
McCullough, the team's top performer through the first four meets of the season, finished sixth out of 29 runners with a time of 19:10 at the Overton-Pirate Invitational last Saturday, Oct. 6, in Greenville, NC. It was a personal best time by McCullough, who won the Towson Invitational on Sept. 8 in her collegiate debut.
McCullough and the rest of the men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Maryland. The men's race begins at 9:00 a.m. and the women's race begins at 9:45 a.m.
