Colonials Top Manhattan in Rainbow Classic, 64-59

HONOLULU (AP) - Chris Monroe scored 20 points and SirValiant Brown added 19 Saturday to lead George Washington to a 64-59 victory over Manhattan in the seventh-place game of the Rainbow Classic.
The Colonials (6-6) built up a double-digit lead midway through the second half and held that margin until the final seconds when the Jaspers (3-7) scored five straight points.
Monroe was 4-of-12 from the field but hit 11 free throws. Attila Cosby had 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Colonials.
Durelle Brown had 17 points and nine rebounds for Manhattan, which committed 27 turnovers, while Bruce Seals and Dave Holmes each had 16 points.
