Dail joined the Buff & Blue in August 2023 from the University of Texas, where she served as a volunteer coach for the Longhorns, who finished fourth at the national championship. She also assisted at Austin Rowing Club from 2020-23, highlighted by leading a program-best five qualifying boats to the 2022 Youth National Championship.
As a competitor, Dail was a NCAA Championship Runner-Up in 2019 as a team and boat under the University of Texas. She competed in the 2V at the NCAA Championships from 2016 to 2019, medaling in three of those years and assisting Texas in securing Big 12 Championships each year. Since 2020, Margaret has been coaching both Juniors and Masters at the Austin Rowing Club. In 2023, she volunteered at the University of Texas and was honored as Big 12 Staff of the Year for their exceptional contributions.
