Men’s Soccer Carries Momentum into A10 Opener; Hosts La Salle Saturday at The Vern

GW men's soccer is back on The Vern this weekend to open A10 play against La Salle. Kickoff at the GW Soccer Field is set for 2 p.m., and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Revolutionaries have roared out of the gates to begin the campaign and will put their 4-1-1 record to the test in conference for the first time this weekend. GW is bringing four or more wins into their first conference match for the first time since 2016 when they opened the year with a 5-2-3 record.
The Revolutionaries are now up to No. 10 in the country in the most-recent unofficial RPI rankings.
Senior forward Jaden Dubon continues to shine as he leads the A10 and is ninth in the NCAA with 13 points. Dubon's five assists rank fourth in the NCAA. He's collected points in all six matches and has already surpassed GW's top point scorer from each of the last three seasons.
Saturday's matchup is between the two highest-powered offenses in the A10, as La Salle averages a conference-high 3.143 goals per game, while GW is behind in second with 2.167 goals per game. La Salle comes to The Vern with a 4-3 record after dropping its most recent match on the road at Drexel.
GW has a chance to even the all-time series vs. La Salle, which currently sits at 11-12-4. The Revolutionaries and Explorers played to a 2-2 draw at the GW Soccer Field in last year's season finale.
