Lacrosse Set for Two Key A-10 Matchups

GW lacrosse will begin a critical week of conference play on Wednesday afternoon as the Revolutionaries take on the Saint Joseph's Hawks in a 2 p.m. matchup in Philly on ESPN+. The group will then head back to the District to welcome Davidson to the Vern for a noon opening draw on Saturday which will also air on ESPN+.
WINNING WAYS
Recognized for their standout contributions in a two-win week over Lafayette and La Salle, Stella Ray and Mia Milkowski each earned Atlantic 10 weekly honors on Tuesday morning. Ray, a senior captain, was named Defensive Player of the Week after leading George Washington in the draw circle and anchoring the defensive unit.
Milkowski, a first-year, collected her second Rookie of the Week award following another pair of impressive performances on GW's offense.
Heading into Wednesday's matchup, GW holds a 7–2 record, including a perfect 2–0 mark in conference play. The high-powered offense leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 14.33 goals per game, paced by senior attacker Grace Curry, who averages 4.67 goals per game. Curry has consistently ranked among the NCAA's top scorers this season and now sits just two goals shy of her 100th career milestone, entering Wednesday's game with 98.
A LOOK AT THE A-10 OPPONENTS
St. Joe's enters the conference clash with an identical 2-0 record in A-10 play after most recently picking up a 16-15 road thriller at George Mason. The Hawks are 3-5 overall and finished 2025 second in the conference.
The Davidson Wildcats (7-1, 1-1) will head to Washington on Saturday after their midweek matchup with VCU at home. The Wildcats are coming off a big win over Duquesne, 20-10, and dropped the A-10 opener to St. Bonaventure, 8-6. The 'Cats finished 2025 third in the A-10.
