Swimming & Diving Medals Twice on Opening Day of A-10 Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – GW swimming & diving opened the Atlantic 10 Championships on Wednesday with two medals in the opening relay and diving session.
GW won gold in the first men's relay of the meet as Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan, Alessandro Borsato, Daniel Nagy and AJ Wood raced to the finish in 1:25.84.
Michael Wood led the GW divers on opening day by earning a bronze medal in the 1-meter dive (314.50). Both Ben Bradley and Holden Wheeler also made the 3-meter A-final, as Bradley grabbed fifth (290.20) and Wheeler finished in seventh (278.15).
The Revolutionaries return for a full day of competition tomorrow with prelims at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 6:00 p.m. Thursday's events include the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, women's 3-meter diving and the 200-yard freestyle relay.
