WASHINGTON- The GW lacrosse team retained its momentum from a statement opening day en route to a dominant home victory over the William & Mary Tribe, 14-8.

GW opened the day off a goal from first-year Daisen Iwan, and the visitors immediately responded before GW rattled off three unanswered goals to close out the first quarter. The second quarter was all Buff & Blue, and the Revolutionaries held an 8-3 advantage at the break.

GW held William & Mary to just one goal in the third quarter before the Tribe mounted a late push with four goals in the final 15 minutes. Despite the surge, the Revolutionaries maintained control, adding six second-half goals to secure the 14–8 win.

Senior Grace Curry continued her dominant play on the attack, netting six goals on nine shots. Defending A-10 Rookie of the Week Mia Milkowski added a hat trick, while Ava St. Jeanos fueled the offense with two assists. First-year Daisen Iwan led the Buff & Blue in the draw circle with eight draw controls.

On defense, veterans Stella Ray and Parker Cranz combined for five of GW's seven caused turnovers, and Gabi Greth earned the win in the cage with 12 saves.

GW now turns its attention to a DMV matchup as it takes on American at The Vern. Action is slated for next Wednesday at 1 p.m.
