Atlantic 10 Champion Michael Bohlke has earned a slot at the NCAA Championships in the men's 1,500m competition, the NCAA announced on Thursday afternoon. Bohlke will compete in the East First Rounds hosted by the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., on May 28 at 6:30 p.m. This is the first outdoor track postseason appearance for the junior.
After earning the gold medal at the conference meet with a season-best 3:48.82, the Newington, Conn., native will compete in the national field after qualifying for the championships as one of the top 48 student-athletes in the event this outdoor season. Bohlke will continue the legacy of representing the Buff & Blue on the national stage after Ryan Fowkes represented the Revolutionaries last season.
