Lacrosse Hosts Spiders, Heads North to face Explorers

WASHINGTON- GW lacrosse returns to its A-10 slate this week, hosting the Richmond Spiders at home on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. before heading to Philadelphia to face the La Salle Explorers in a Saturday matinee at noon. Both games will air live on ESPN+.Â
The Buff & Blue enter the double matchup week off a non-conference win over Youngstown State, defeating the Penguins, 15-11. For the remainder of the regular season, GW will focus exclusively on closing its conference slate, with matchups against Richmond, La Salle, Davidson and Saint Bonaventure remaining.Â
Glancing at the conference leaderboard, first-year Sophia Levine now sits at No. 8 in the league in assists per game (1.69/game), and Stella Ray, who recently surpassed her 200th career draw control to sit at No. 2 in the GW record book in career draw controls, sits fifth in the conference in draw controls per game (4.69/game) and fourth in ground balls per game (2.92/game). In goal, Gabi Greth is fourth in goals against average (10.48) and fifth in save percentage (.447).Â
