Outdoor Track Readies for Raleigh Relays and Maryland Invitational

WASHINGTON-Â The GW outdoor track team will open competition for the week in Raleigh, sending both Michael Bohlke and Sarah Mitchell to Raleigh to race in the 5k. Bohlke will race in the men's 5k on Thursday evening at 7 p.m., and Mitchell will compete in the women's 5k on Friday at 6:30 p.m.Â
In last week's season opener at Richmond, both Bohlke and Mitchell enjoyed success on the track, with Mitchell earning a victory in the 1500m, while Bohlke came in third on the men's side in the same event.Â
On Saturday, the Buff & Blue will compete at the Maryland Invitational at the Kehoe Track & Field Facility in College Park, Md. GW will send student-athletes to compete in 13 events on Saturday, eight for the women and five for the men. GW's events will begin at noon on Saturday in College Park.Â
