Bohlke, Mitchell Make Headway at Raleigh Relays

Raleigh, N.C.- Sarah Mitchell and Michael Bohlke each set a substantial personal record in the 5000m race at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State across Thursday and Friday.
Racing on Thursday night, Bohlke won his heat with a 13:53.64, a 14-second PR for the junior. The finish was good for a 41st place finish in the field of over 200 runners.
On Friday evening, Mitchell won her heat in 16:18.10, earning a 21-second PR on the track. Her finish was also good for 41st overall across a field of 179.
Up next, the rest of the Buff & Blue will be in action tomorrow in College Park, Md., at the Maryland Invitational. GW's events kick off at noon, featuring nine student-athletes in the women's 1500m.
