
Outdoor Track Opens in Style at Fred Hardy Invitational

Richmond, Va. - Headlined by four top five event finishes at the Fred Hardy Invitational, GW kicked off its outdoor season in Richmond on Friday afternoon, the first of eight regular season meets of the regular season.
Sarah Mitchell led GW's top performances with a victory in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:28.86, just a second shy of the existing program record set during the 2021-22 season. Michael Bohlke opened his 2025 track season with a third-place finish in the men's 1500 with a 3:51.27. Nic Rodgers led GW in the 800m, finishing fourth in 1:53.64 to lead the Buff & Blue.
In the women's 400m, Dami Oyatayo claimed fifth with a time of 57.52, just a mere second behind the existing school record in the event.

The GW Revs also made showings in the women's 100m hurdles, women's 800m and the women's 200m to conclude the season-opening meet.
Glancing ahead, GW will be back in action beginning next Thursday at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State.
