Outdoor Track Opens 2025 at Fred Hardy Invitational

WASHINGTON -Â The GW outdoor track squad will open the spring season this Friday at the Fred Hardy Invitational hosted by Richmond. The events for the Buff & Blue are set to kick off at 11:40 a.m., and all races will be held at the University of Richmond's E. Claiborne Robins Stadium.
The GW women's indoor track program enjoyed a successful winter season, shattering four school records in the process. Madison Hardamon (60m Dash), Kamryn Holness (60m Hurdles) and Rylan Priest (500m) each claimed a program record in their respective events, while the 4x400 relay team of Olivia Clark, Hardamon, Dami Oyatayo and Preist broke the program record in their event multiple times throughout the winter season.
At the A-10 Championships, Sarah Mitchell took second place in the 5000m in 16:39.73. Mitchell's pace was also only seconds behind the existing program record of 16:20.52, set during the 2019-20 season.
On Friday, the Revolutionaries will compete in 10 events, beginning at 11:40 a.m. The GW women will aim to capitalize on their success in the 1500m, 100m hurdles, 100m, 400m, 400m hurdles, 800m and 200m.
On the men's side, 14 student-athletes will open their 2025 season competing in the 1500m, 800m and 200m.
