Richmond, Va. - Continuing conference play on the road, GW lacrosse battled through the first half of Saturday's action, inching back from an early deficit to knot the game at 4-4 in the second quarter. But it was mostly the host Rams who found a rhythm thereafter as VCU controlled the second half, netting a 9-3 advantage over the GW Revs to earn a 16-7 victory.

At midfield, Caroline Sullivan led GW in multiple categories, feeding the offense with two of the team's four assists, and defensively, scooping up two ground balls and causing four turnovers.

Attackers Katie Fullowan, Everly Kessler and midfielder Haley Bolton paced the Revolutionaries' offense, each netting two goals and combining for 13 shots. Grace Curry was the other goal scorer for GW, getting on the board first for the Buff & Blue.
Gabi Greth registered seven saves in the cage and Stella Ray led GW on the draw with nine draw controls.
The Revolutionaries will return home to the Vern as they play host to the Massachusetts Minutewomen next Saturday in a noon opening draw.
