Lacrosse Earns Comeback Victory over William & Mary

Williamsburg, Va. – Coming back from a three-goal deficit at the end of the first quarter, the GW lacrosse earned a road win over William & Mary Saturday afternoon.
The first quarter was all Tribe, with GW falling to a quick 3-0 deficit heading to the second.
Katie Fullowan powered the attack in the second, notching two to get GW on the board. Grace Curry also found the back of the net before half, and with starting goalie Gabi Greth limiting the Tribe to just one in the second, the Buff & Blue trailed by one at the half, 4-3.
In the third, William & Mary got on the board first, but Curry and Everly Kessler pulled GW even to head to the final 15 at 5-5. In the fourth, Curry and Kessler remained strong on the attack, pushing the Revolutionaries out to an 8-5 lead. The Tribe fought to keep things close, narrowing the lead to just one goal with a little over three minutes remaining on the clock, but Curry responded to make things 10-8 in favor of the visitors. The Tribe would add one more, but GW would ultimately claim its third win of 2025 at 10-9 in Williamsburg.

With the win, GW moves to its first 3-0 season in program history. The Revolutionaries will now turn their attention to another road contest, traveling to face Robert Morris next Saturday for a 1 p.m. opening draw. The contest will air live on ESPN+.
