Men's Basketball Aims to Remain Perfect at Home vs. Delaware

WASHINGTON - GW men's basketball welcomes Delaware to the Smith Center on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip on ESPN+ and Monumental Sports Network. The Buff & Blue look to maintain their perfect home record, having won each of their five home games by double digits and by an average margin of 26.6 points per game.

Saturday was already GW's sixth game crossing the 90-point threshold, tied for the 7th most 90+ games in a single season and most times doing so since 2000-01 (6). The next game scoring 90 would be the most since doing so eight times in 1999-00. The school record is 10 times set twice in 1968-69 and 1952-53.
The Buff & Blue have scored at least 84 points in nine consecutive games and are averaging 91.4 ppg, 5.5 more points than the current school record of 85.9 ppg set back in 1952-53. GW hasn't averaged even 80.0 ppg in a season since 1999-00 (80.6).
ARANGUREN'S BREAKOUT

ARANGUREN'S BREAKOUT
Jean Aranguren became the fourth different Revolutionary with a 20-point game, tallying a season-best 20 points and five assists on Saturday vs. William & Mary. It marked the 11th 20-point game of his career, having done so seven times last year at Hofstra and thrice in 2023-24 with Iona.
Aranguren has reached double digits four times this year and is shooting a robust 57.7% from the field after entering the season as a career 43% shooter.

Delaware enters play on Wednesday with a 2-6 mark following an overtime loss at Delaware State on Saturday.
The Blue Hens are in their first year in Conference USA after being a longstanding CAA member and advancing to the conference championship game a year ago. Martin Inglesby is in his 10th year in charge of the Blue Hens, having advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2022 after winning the CAA Championship.
Four players are averaging double figures this year, led by Macon Emery's 14.5 ppg. Christian Bliss and Justyn Fernandez chip in 14.4 ppg each and Tyler Houser provides 12.8 ppg.
