Adonis Vlassis Named Co-MAWPC Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) has announced that GW senior utility Adonis Vlassis has been named the Co-Player of the Week. It's Vlassis' first MAWPC weekly award of the season, which he shares with Fordham's Luca Provenziani.Â
The former MAWPC All-Conference First Team selection leads the Revolutionaries this season with 94 points (66 goals, 28 assists), had another offensive outpouring last weekend with 16 goals across GW's three games, including seven in GW's tight battle against Fordham. Vlassis added 10 steals, six assists and six exclusions drawn across GW's games vs. Johns Hopkins, Wagner and Fordham.
Vlassis and GW break from MAWPC play for the final time this season for four games at the Harvard Invitational, beginning on Saturday when GW faces Brown. Three of GW's four games will be carried on ESPN+.
