WASHINGTON - The George Washington University men's and women's swimming & diving teams will compete against three Ivy League schools this weekend at the Princeton Big Al Invitational. GW will go up against Princeton, Columbia and Pennsylvania in the three-day meet, which runs from Dec. 6-8. All sessions of the meet will be available to stream on ESPN+.
FALL REWIND
GW enters the Big Al Invitational with a 4-1 (women's) and 3-2 (men's) record. Both teams opened the fall with losses at Virginia Tech, before rebounding with a sweep of three CAA schools (UNCW, Delaware, William & Mary) at a quad meet in early October. GW then had nearly a month off of competition, before splitting results against Navy as the GW women won, 158-142, but the GW men fell, 157-135.
GW captured six A-10 weekly awards in the fall, won by Ava Topolewski (2x Performer of the Week), Connor Rodgers (Performer of the Week), Gage Boushee (Rookie of the Week), Shae Stratton (Rookie of the Week) and Natalie Sens (Rookie of the Week).Â
