Connor Rodgers Breaks 200 IM Program Record as Swimming & Diving Wraps Day One of Big Al

Revolutionaries return tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the second day of the meet
PRINCETON, N.J. - Highlighted by a broken program record, NCAA B-cut swim and three event wins, the George Washington University men's and women's swimming & diving teams closed out the first day of the Princeton Big Al Invitational.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Connor Rodgers earned an NCAA B-cut time and broke the program record with a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM (1:44.49).

Elliott Irwin picked up a win for the Buff & Blue, sprinting to the finish in the 50-yard freestyle (19.79). Irwin moved into third in program history with his prelims time (19.72), while Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan moved into seventh in program history (20.11) and Holden Thomas moved into 10th in program history (20.39) in the event.

The men's 400-yard medley relay closed the night with a victory in the event (1:09.29), swam by Sivaramakrishnan, Con. Rodgers, Daniel Nagy and Irwin.

Daniel Choi swam the third-fastest 500-yard freestyle in program history (4:23.01), finishing fifth in the event.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Olivia Paquette crushed the competition in the 3-meter dive, scoring a 309.80 to win the event, nearly 15 points higher than the second-place finisher.

Ava Topolewski nabbed second place in the 500-yard freestyle (4:47.63), missing an NCAA B-cut by just 0.43 seconds.

Molly Smyers finished in sixth in the 200-yard IM (2:02.17), while Colleen MacWilliams broke into the program's all-time top 10 (2:03.31) in the prelims of the event.
