WASHINGTON - The George Washington men's soccer team (2-5-3, 0-2-0 A-10) was defeated by Delaware (6-2-2, 1-2-1 CAA), 2-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the GW Soccer Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
23rd Minute: A bouncing ball in the box eventually found its way to Delaware's Justin Ruth, who opened the scoring with a bicycle kick from the top of the six-yard box. TJ Hastings was credited with an assist.
73rd Minute: Hastings beat his marker and doubled the Blue Hens' lead by heading-in an out-curling set piece. Richard Monath was credited with the assist after driving in the free kick.
NOTEABLE

Richard Raupp made his season debut in net for GW. Raupp replaced Duncan Wegner to start the second half and allowed one goal on four shots.

GW had three players go the full 90 minutes: defenders John Matlock, Lucas Matuszewski and Colin Prendergast.

The Blue Hens outshot GW 13-5, including a 3-0 advantage in shots on goal.

Delaware had eight corner kicks, while GW had one.
