NEWARK, N.J. – The George Washington women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 match at NJIT on Wednesday afternoon. The match marked the final non-conference contest for the Revolutionaries this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 4th Minute: NJIT quickly jumped ahead in the match, tallying a goal in the fourth minute. The goal was scored by Kelsey Ramos, her second of the season. Assisting on the play was Riley Jones.
- 90th Minute: Following 85 minutes of scoreless action, the Highlanders capped off their win with a goal from Briana Andreoli, her fourth of the year. Bailey Chant picked up the assist for NJIT.
NOTEWORTHY
- GW was outshot 27-8 during the match. NJIT also finished with a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal.
- Both teams took seven corner kicks.
- NJIT committed 13 fouls, while GW was whistled for four. No yellow cards were issued during the match.
- Andreoli and Maria Nogueira paced the Highlanders' offense with two shots on goal each. Chant had the most total shots for NJIT with six.
- GW's offense was paced by junior Kelly Poole who tallied three shots. Senior Lauren Prentice recorded two shots, including GW's lone shot on goal.
- One shot on goal is the lowest for GW this season as a team and ties the team's lowest total since Oct. 16, 2022, against UMass.
- Graduate student Rose Hemans started in goal for GW. She played the entire first half and recorded one save.
- Junior Ainsley Lumpe subbed in at goalkeeper at halftime and played the remaining 45 minutes for the Buff & Blue, recording four saves.
- The match marked the first meeting between the programs all-time. NJIT now holds a 1-0 advantage over GW.
