PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The George Washington women's soccer team fell in A-10 action to Duquesne on Thursday night, dropping the match 3-0 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 23rd Minute: Maya Matesa put the Dukes on the scoreboard first off a left-footed boot that slid just inside the left post. Matesa's goal was unassisted.
- 50th Minute: The Dukes' second goal came early in the second half from Margey Brown. Her goal also snuck inside the left post and was unassisted.
- 79th Minute: Matesa registered her second goal of the day late in the second half off a penalty kick. The PK gives Matesa five goals on the season.
NOTEWORTHY
- Duquesne finished with 30 total shots, while GW registered five shots on the day. The Dukes also recorded a 13-1 edge in shots on goal.
- Both teams took three corner kicks in the match.
- Duquesne was whistled for eight fouls throughout the match, while GW was charged with six.
- GW's Avril Silva and Emma Lillback were each issued a yellow card, while Matesa was given a yellow card for the Dukes.
- Junior Alicia Window led GW's offense with the team's lone shot on goal. Junior Amelia Booth, junior Kelly Poole, first-year Kate McGrath, and first-year Alexa Meinen each tallied one shot apiece as well.
- Matesa and Mackenzie Muir paced Duquesne's offense with four shots each. The Dukes also had five plays record three shots each.
- In net, junior Ainsley Lumpe played all 90 minutes for GW. She recorded 10 saves for the Revolutionaries.
- Maddy Neundorfer tallied one save in goal for Duquesne.
- The Buff & Blue have now recorded one shot on goal in two straight matches including last week's 2-0 loss at NJIT.
- GW's winless streak is now 10 matches, including six-straight losses.
