WASHINGTON - Despite an afternoon of pressuring one of the A-10's top sides in Saint Louis (5-3-2, 3-0-1 A-10), the George Washington men's soccer team (2-7-3, 0-4-0 A-10) fell to the Billikens, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the GW Soccer Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
14th Minute: A well-timed run by Saint Louis' Seth Anderson was rewarded when he headed in a Billikens' cross from inside the six-yard box. Galen Flynn sent in the cross and earned the primary assist, while CJ Coppola received a secondary assist for his pass on the leadup to the cross.
69th Minute: A handball was called on GW in its own box, leading to a Saint Louis penalty kick which was driven home by Christian Buendia.
NOTEWORTHY

GW outshot Saint Louis 10-8, including 5-2 in shots on goal.

Joe Liebe and Nico Medina tied for a team-high two shots.

The 20th ranked Billikens (per RPI) won their third-straight conference match and remain at the top of the league standings.
