GW looks for another successful weekend on the diving boards
WASHINGTON - GW diving heads to the University of Pittsburgh this weekend for a two-day, diving-only dual meet against the Panthers. The meet is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. Live stats can be tracked on the Meet Mobile app.
Last Time Out:
The GW divers dominated in its last outing, winning all-four dives at Navy on October 21 (*tied first men's 1m). The women took it to the Midshipmen on the diving boards, submitting four of the top-five three-meter dives, and three of the top-four one-meter dives, earning big points for the Colonials' efforts. On the men's side, it was Spencer Bystrom racking in the points. He had the meet's top one-meter dive and tied for the top three-meter dive, showing out as the Colonial's only men's diver.
About the Panthers:
Pitt enters the weekend having participated in a pair of tri-meets this season. The men are 2-2, with wins over Penn State and Boston College and losses to Notre Dame and Georgia Tech. Pitt's women are 1-3, with their lone win coming over Boston College.
This will be the second consecutive year that GW travels to Pitt, after being defeated last year, 174-124 (M) and 192-108 (W).
Looking Ahead:
Both swimming and diving are in action next weekend, when swimming gets their chance to compete at Pitt, and diving heads to NC State for the Wolfpack Invite.
