Rodrigo Barahona named Atlantic 10 Rookie Golfer of the Week

Barahona consistent piece of the GW golf lineup

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Rodrigo Barahona, a first-year on the GW golf team, was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday. Barahona has also been named GW Student-Athlete of the Week

Barahona has been a steady piece of GW's lineup throughout its first three fall tournaments. Most recently, Barahona tied for 32nd overall at the Phoenix Invitational with a one-over-par 214. The Monterrey, Mexico, native scored a 70 (-1) in the opening round of the tournament and a 69 (-2) in the final round to boast his final score.

Barahona and his team will compete at the Visit Stockton Invitational in Stockton, Calif., on Thursday, with play continuing through Saturday. Live scoring for the event can be found here.
