As 2020-21 winds to a close and honors and accolades continue to accrue, GW Athletics is proud to look back at the year that was. Trophies, medals and accolades were aplenty while the living trophies of 102 graduates are forever the highlight.Â
Â
Two programs won Atlantic 10 Championships with softball and men's swimming & diving taking home the hardware.
Â
The Georgeys were once again a major highlight, though this time virtually.
Â
In Gymnastics, Softball, Squash and Men's Swimming & Diving major award winners were crowned, and in the year's closing days, a pair of track student-athletes earned the right to represent the Buff and Blue at the NCAA level while a diamond legend was crowned All-American.Â
Â
All-time program bests, historic performances and gut-wrenching close calls also served to make 2020-21 a year that nobody in the GW Athletics family will ever forget.
