On the main court of the venerable Charles E. Smith Center, GW Athletics gathered to celebrate all the people, moments and triumphs that punctuated the year-to-date for George Washington's 20 varsity teams and more than 400 student-athletes. Nattily dressed as they strutted down the buff carpet, the coterie was right at home in the historic venue at the corner of 22nd and G, that has also housed dozens of the world's top entertainment acts and dignitaries in its 50 years.Â
With baseball alumnus, Hall of Famer and media personality Danny Rouhier as host, university leadership gathered to hail the institution's best and brightest in competition, in the classroom and in the community. While volleyball's Sadee Gedse and men's swimming & diving's Shoon Li were crowned as the best dressed, they were not outdone by their peers who performed with excellence since August.
