Cross Country Sets 10 Personal Records at Paul Short Run

The women's team took 8th while the men came in 24th
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The men's and women's cross country teams put together an iconic Friday at the 47th running of the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh, highlighted by a bevy of personal bests. The men's team placed 24th, while the women finished eighth in the standings.
NOTE
• The Colonial women had one of their best team showings against a strong field, finishing eighth overall and first among A-10 competitors.
• Five out of the seven women's runners finished in a PR at the 6k distance, led by graduate student Peri Pavicic's 24th-place overall finish.
• Graduate students Margaret Coogan and Julia Dempsey gave the Buff & Blue three finishers in the top 100. Coogan finished in a time of 20:38.9, placing 26th in a field of 328, while Dempsey crossed the finish line in a time of 21:26.8, placing 75th.
• Junior James Glockenmeier paced the Colonial men for the second event in a row, placing 120th overall in a personal record time of 24:55.7.
• The Buff & Blue authored three top-200 finishes to help the Colonials to a 24th-place team finish.
• Three of the six GW runners established new best times in the 8k distance.
• In the open competition, first-year Jonny Ciccero demolished his previous 8k PR by almost a minute, finishing in a time of 26:55.3.
• Both graduate student Brittany Wilkinson and junior Izzy Doran set new personal record times in the open 6k competition.
