Track & Field Earns USTFCCCA Academic Awards

Dannheim earns individual accolade in addition to team recognition
NEW ORLEANS - The GW men's and women's track & field programs were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their prowess in the classroom, earning the organization's Academic Award.
Additionally, recent graduate Suzanne Dannheim earned an individual All-Academic selection after ranking in the top 96 of her event for the indoor season and holding at least a 3.25 GPA. Dannheim graduated with a degree in Finance this spring.
To qualify, the programs had to post a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The women's program posted a 3.64 GPA during the 2019-20 school year, while the men's men's program registered a 3.54.
Overall, there were 264 women's and 199 men's Division I programs that were honored by the USTFCCCA.
