Colonials travel to Rhode Island to finish off indoor campaign
WASHINGTON - GW indoor track wraps up its season with the Atlantic 10 Championships this weekend, hosted by Rhode Island on Saturday and Sunday. Last season, the Colonials recorded points in three races at the conference meet and broke two school records.
This indoor season has been highlighted by 11 school records being broken across five events. On the women's side, senior Suzanne Dannheim has notched three of them on her own (mile, 3k, 5k) with juniors Kathryn Nohilly (800m, 1000m) and Brittany Wilkinson (600m) also surpassing previous school-bests.
The men's side has been led by breakout star Miles Grant, who, as a first-year, has set school records in the long jump and high jump. Senior Jared Nelson established a new best in the 60m, while graduate student Wesley Robinson broke the school mark in the 5k.
