Dannheim Wins Mason Invitational in Strong Showing for Cross Country

Colonial women finish second as a team, men place fourth
LEESBURG, Va. - In a preview of the Atlantic 10 Championship held at the same Oatlands Plantation course come November, the GW cross country team proved they are a forced to be reckoned with within the league.
Led by Suzanne Dannheim's individual win, the women place second in a field that featured five other A-10 opponents, while the men finished fourth with a pair of top-15 individual finishes.

• Dannheim earned the first individual triumph in her cross country career, pacing the field in a time of 18:18.0.
• Junior Margaret Coogan (6th) and sophomore Mariah Moro (7th) gave the Colonial women a trio of harriers in the top 10. Both set new PRs in the process.
• Sophomore Jenna Pressman and first-year Izzy Doran also set PRs, helping lead the women's team to a second place finish, higher than four A-10 foes.
• Senior Jack Conlon led the men's team with a ninth place finish in a time of 26:10.1.

• Of GW's nine competitors on the men's side, seven were making their 8k debut.
• First-year Juan Moscoso was the top rookie finisher, coming in 13th in 26:17.2. The quartet of Ryan Fowkes, Isaiah Robyne, Alex Longeway and James Glockenmeier finished consecutively in 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th, respectively.
• The men finished fourth, outpacing A-10 foes Duquesne and VCU.
