Women's Water Polo Falls in Regular Season Finale

Colonials downed by No. 6 Michigan on Sunday
LEWISBURG, Pa. - George Washington women's water polo closed the regular season Sunday, falling to No. 6 Michigan, 14-5, in a CWPA contest at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
Juliette Belanger tallied three goals to pace the Colonials (6-12, 1-5 CWPA) in their third conference game of the weekend.
The three-time defending CWPA champion Wolverines scored the first seven goals and pushed their advantage to as many as 13 in the third quarter on the way to victory.
Katherine Atherton also scored for GW vs. Michigan, finishing the weekend with two goals and four assists. Allison DeCicco scored the other goal for the Colonials on Sunday, while Hannah Hathaway recorded a pair of assists.
Jaleh Moaddeli paced the Buff and Blue defensively with three steals and a pair of blocks in the field, plus two saves and another steal in net.
UP NEXT: GW now gets ready for the CWPA Championship, which will feature all seven teams battling for the conference's automatic NCAA berth from April 26-28 at Brown.
