First-year took down 100 breast mark Saturday
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -Â Stine Omdahl Petersen dropped the program record in the 100-yard breaststroke to lead GW women's swimming and diving on Saturday at the Sheraton Le Meridien Fall Frenzy Invite hosted by Queens University.
The first-year from Norway took down the six-year-old mark in her prelim swim and then went even faster during finals with her time of 1:02.97, good for a third-place finish.
Isabela Patino (400 IM), Jackie Torrez (400 IM), Meghan Burton (100 fly) and Andrea Ho (100 back) also advanced to individual A finals on the second night of competition at Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.
Ho, Omdahl Petersen, Burton and Rebecca Smolcic were part of a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as well.
The Colonials rank third in the team standings with 1,527 points behind the host Royals (1,954) and Wingate (1,618) entering the final day of racing.
