GW Athletics Announces Formation of Fan Council

The council will be tasked with sharing ideas to enhance the atmosphere in the Charles E. Smith Center

WASHINGTON -- The George Washington Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced a new initiative aimed at enhancing the game-day experience inside the Charles E. Smith Center through the formation of the GW Fan Council.

The GW Fan Council will be made up of representatives spanning different demographic groups of dedicated Colonials fans, from students to alumni, donors and the university community.

Initial plans are for the GW Fan Council to spend a half day together with Athletics staff, three to four times each year, to share their impressions of every aspect of the game-day experience, from the moment of ticket purchase until safe return home after the game.

Through this feedback, GW Athletics will continue to work towards creating one of the the best in-game atmospheres in the country. Applications will be accepted through October 5 and can be completed here.
