Women's Rowing to Race at Knecht Cup

WASHINGTON â€" The George Washington women's rowing team will return to the water this weekend to compete on Mercer Lake in West Windsor Township, New Jersey, for the Knecht Cup.
One of the largest collegiate regattas in the United States, the Knecht Cup brings together athletes from 20 different universities and colleges from throughout the country.
In their Knecht Cup debut, the Colonials will enter a field that features a number of Atlantic 10 opponents, including Duquesne, George Mason, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, along with teams from the ACC, CAA, Patriot League, and ACC.
The Buff and Blue will send three boats to compete over two days on Mercer's 2,000-meter course. The regatta begins on Saturday with preliminaries and will conclude on Sunday with finals.
