WASHINGTON - George Washington women's swimming and diving hosts Atlantic 10 foe Richmond on Saturday at the Charles E. Smith Center Pool to wrap fall semester competition with a 10 a.m. meet.
The Colonials come off a strong performance at the three-day Magnus Cup Invitational from Nov. 18-20. Freshman Jackie Torrez posted five top-10 finishes at the meet to help GW take sixth in a competitive field of 14 teams en route to her second A-10 Rookie of the Week nod. Torrez landed on GW's all-time top-10 list in each of her five individual events.
Junior Abigail Fusco also posted a strong weekend, scoring in five individual events and helping the Colonials to a pair of top-10 relay performances.
Six-time defending Atlantic 10 champion Richmond visits the District after competing at the Patriot Invite from Nov. 17-19. Irina Chiulli's victories on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards earned her A-10 Performer of the Week accolades for the second time this season.
A year ago, the Colonials fell to Richmond in dual meet action.
