GW Men's Track Competes at Wesley A. Brown Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The George Washington men's indoor track team returned to action by competing at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational at the United States Naval Academy on Saturday.
Nine different GW student-athletes set new indoor personal records, including all four competitors entered in the mile.
Sophomore Carter Day was GW's top performer of the day, finishing first in his heat and sixth overall out of 14 competitors in the 800m. Day's time of 1:56.78 was a new personal record. He was followed by senior Rob Craven's personal-best performance of 1:59.73 (11th).
The quartet of sophomore Chris Shaffer (4:19.94, 9th), senior Ryan Tucker (4:20.32, 10th), sophomore Ryan DePinto (4:21.45, 12th) and sophomore Charles Arnold (4:31.43, 16th) each set new personal records in the mile.
In the 3,000-meter run, junior Seamus Roddy (8:48.10, 18th) and freshman Andrew Weber (9:02.60, 20th) both tallied career-best performances.
GW next competes at the two-day Armory Invitational in New York, New York, next weekend.
