
Seven GW Gymnasts Recognized on All-EAGL Teams

BALTIMORE - Seven George Washington gymnasts were selected to the All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Teams for the 2015 competitive season, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
The seven Colonials were recognized across the four events and the all-around and marked GW's most selections in a single season since joining the EAGL in 2005.
Freshman Jillian Winstanley led the way for the Colonials with a total of four selections. She was named to the First Team for vault (9.89 RQS), uneven bars (9.83), balance beam (9.84) and the all-around (39.265).
Classmate Cami Drouin-Allaire earned three total selections, including First Team on the vault (9.92), floor exercise (9.845) and all-around (39.15).
Sophomore Chelsea Raineri was honored as a First-Team All-EAGL performer on both vault (9.855) and floor exercise (9.875) for the second straight season.
Senior Elena Corcoran earned her third career All-EAGL honor and her first career First-Team selection on vault (9.875).
Freshman Liz Pfeiler was named to the First Team on balance beam (9.805), while her classmate Sara Mermelstein earned Second-Team balance beam honors (9.79).
Sophomore Alex DeMoura rounded out GW's selections with a spot on the Second Team for vault (9.775), floor exercise (9.80) and all-around (38.640).
First-Team All-EAGL on each event and the all-around includes the top eight ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the 10-week regular season based on regional-qualifying score (RQS). Second-Team All-EAGL includes gymnasts ranked Nos. 9-16.
