Women's Rowing Totals 52 Points At EAWRC Eastern Sprints

CAMDEN, NJ- The George Washington women's rowing team tallied 52 points to finish in 15th place at the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges Eastern Sprints on the Cooper River on Sunday afternoon.
Princeton won the Willing Trophy after finishing in first place with 192 total points.
In the morning heats the Colonials qualified for the petit final in the 2nd Varsity 8. The Colonials' JV crew used a fourth-place finish in the first morning heat to clinch their spot in the petit final, where they rowed to a sixth-place finish in 7:19.90.
The Colonials' Varsity 4B crew, consisting of coxswain Samantha Bachert, Sarah Thompson (stroke), Hannah Gisness (three seat), Rebecca Blathras (two seat) and Mackenzie Hovermale (bow), won the bronze medal in the petit final, finishing 19 seconds behind winner Princeton and ahead of Boston College.
