GW Set to Open GW-Mount Vernon Athletic Complex
WASHINGTON, DC (August 29, 2001) -- The George Washington University will open its new GW-Mount Vernon Athletic Complex with three soccer matches next week. The inaugural match will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 4, when the GW women's soccer team hosts Howard beginning at 4:00 p.m. The men's team plays its first match on Thursday, Sept. 6, against VMI at 3:00 pm. The women then face Georgetown at 4:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 7, at 4:00 pm.
The GW-Mount Vernon Athletic Complex is located at 2100 Foxhall Road (at W Street) in Northwest Washington. It also will be the new home of the GW men's and women's tennis teams and the University's new women's lacrosse team next spring.
Please note that parking is limited and carpooling and public transportation are strongly encouraged.
