Ultimate Online Auction to Benefit GW Athletics

WASHINGTON, DC -- The George Washington University department of athletics will hold an online auction during May whereby visitors can log on and bid on a variety of items. Proceeds from the auction benefit GW athletics. The link is http://www.teamlinkauction.com/georgewashington. Links to the auction site can also be accessed from the www.GWsports.fansonly.com and the gwu.edu sites.
The GW Ultimate Online Auction begins Thursday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. (EDT). There are more than 100 items available in nine categories including sports memorabilia, travel and entertainment, sports clothing and apparel and special golf outings.
A sample of some of the items available for bidding include: a Red Auerbach autographed basketball, two GW All-Century Team autographed basketballs (one leather, one solid wood), a foursome of golf with GW women's coach Joe McKeown, and a one-week stay at a vacation home in Wrightsville Beach, NC, among others. The auction will continue throughout the month of May.
