George Washington Loses to Virginia Tech 2-0

Washington, DC (September 24, 2000) - The Colonials suffered another tough
loss September 24 after being shutout by the Hokies. George Washington has
experienced an offensive drought recently, and has been unable to score in the
last three matches.
Virginia Techs Emily Barnhart scored the matchs only two goals early in the first half. The Hokies goalkeepers, Shannon Janko and Karen Crawley combined with 10 saves on 19 shots to hold the Colonials scoreless.
George Washington falls to 1-7 on the season, and travels to Philadelphia to face the Temple Owls on Friday, September 29.
