Morris To Lead GW Women's Lacrosse Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. Jennifer T. Morris, a 1994 Ithaca College graduate, has been hired as the first women's lacrosse coach at The George Washington University, Athletic Director Jack Kvancz announced.
Morris joins GW after serving two years as assistant women's lacrosse coach at the University of Richmond, preceded by four seasons as the head coach of Saint Mary's College of California's club team. At Richmond, Morris played a key role in recruiting, travel and designing the team's offense, among other duties.
At Ithaca, Morris was co-captain her senior year and was named third team Brine/IWLCA All-America as well.
Morris graduated with a bachelor's degree in English. She earned a master's from Saint Mary's in health, physical education and recreation in 1998.
Morris has been involved in various lacrosse camps through the years, including the Elite 300 Camp at Loyola College, the Nike Lacrosse Camp at the University of Colorado and the Nike Lacrosse Camp at Menlo College. She was also the assistant commissioner of the Western Women's Lacrosse League in 1999.
The Colonials will begin their inaugural campaign in the Spring of 2002.
