Bencie Joins GW Academic Support Staff

A 1995 graduate of Michigan State University, Bencie has previously worked as a Media Representative for Comcast Cablevision in Sarasota, FL, as well as an assistant head coach for the Swedish American Football All-Star team. Prior to coaching the Swedish All-Star team, Bencie played professional football for the Ystad Rockets of the European Football League, where he was voted Most Valuable Player by the Swedish American Football Federation. He also worked as a professional stunt man for Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. While at Michigan State, Bencie was a co-captain on the 1995 Spartans squad. After earning a BA in mass communications, Bencie received his MBA in international trade from the University of Sarasota this past July. He is currently pursuing a master's certificate in U.S. foreign policy and international relations at GW.
At GW, Bencie will primarily be responsible for providing academic support to the men's basketball program and assists with all student-athletes.
